Arcadia High School

Circular library surrounded by ring of classrooms.

ACR Contracting, Inc. was contracted to perform massive work on Arcadia High School. The project included the entire demolition of all buildings to make way for new construction. Work had to be very safe and precise as it was done while school was in session with students on campus. Demolition and removal of old buildings were completed in coordinated phases with the construction company to ensure the quick rebuilding of new facilities. This ensured the school remained as functional as possible. The demolition for Arcadia High School included 3-story classrooms, tennis courts, parking areas, a stadium, utility lines and trees and took 3 years to complete.

The ring of 3-story classrooms surrounding the circular library needed to be demolished while leaving the library intact. In the photo, site clearing and grading is already completed in the northeast section of campus.
